Brightside Cleaning
A demo for a fictional York cleaning company. Hiring a cleaner means letting a stranger into your home, so this site sells one thing before anything else: reassurance.
The brief
Cleaning customers compare three or four companies in one sitting. The decision comes down to which one feels the most legitimate and the least hassle to contact.
The site needed to answer the anxious questions early: who turns up, are they insured, is it the same person each visit, and what happens if something goes wrong.
What I built
- Calm green palette with the rating badge front and centre
- Clear service breakdown: regular, deep, and end-of-tenancy cleans
- The same-cleaner-every-visit promise given top billing
- Insurance and vetting details where customers look for them
- A short enquiry flow: no account, no quote-builder maze
Design decisions
The tone stays soft on purpose. Trades can shout urgency; a cleaning company selling routine and reliability needs the design equivalent of a tidy room.
Friction kills cleaning enquiries, so every path ends in either one tap to call or a three-field form. Nothing asks for information a customer would hesitate over.
